Shark Week 2014 Nail Art

Shark week is here and I'm just super excited!!    Shark week is one of the most interesting weeks of the summer, I'm not so sure why I get so excited over shark week, but it's just all intriguing to me and from time to time, I absolutely love digging deeper into all things "shark-tas-tic."

In honor of all things "jawsome" and for love of nail art, I decided to give this #Sharkweeknails a try.

So without further ado, sink your Jaws, Your Claws ....and your Teeth into some Killer Shark Nail art.

Ruffian Nail Art

Hello All!!

Today, I have on the blog a Ruffian inspired nail art.  I have been seeing these nail art style around for quiet a while, but I never really got around to try it . . .until NOW!

I went for a subtle gradient ruffian look, so without further adieu

Oppa Ruffian Style!!

IG: Rhinky_
For the main base color, I used a Salome luxe nail polish.  It's a very thin and subtle shimmer polish.  In the photo above, I used two coats.  My nail line is still a bit visible but I didn't bother to add more polish.

This I added a rather dark silver polish from Digital Delux cream. This polish went on pretty smoothly, really thick and opaque.  I only needed about two coats.

And then finally, a light pink color to top things off!

I am pretty pleased with this simple yet elegant nail design!

Flappy Birds 2014 Nail Art

Hey Readers!

Pleasant New Year to All. . .  HAPPY 2014!!!  This is my first blog post for the year and my first in practically forever.

Sorry**

If you are a mobile freak and frequently keep up with mobile updates on apps and games, I'm sure you are pretty familiar with this new game called flappy birds.  This app became an internet sensation over time, from vines to YouTube videos, I became intrigued to find out more.

How it's played??  Pretty simple . . . just tap the device screen and try your best to fly through a series of tubes.  This game is currently the most popular free available app, and is played in over 110 countries.(http://tinyurl.com/Flappybirds)

Now. . .  my luck in playing this game is very VERY slim . . . and after just a few hours of playing, my frustration grew . .  and I uninstalled the game with just a high score of Seven (7) Hahaha!

I failed while playing the actual game . .  but I consider this nail art to be an A+ in my book.

This particular nail art, was inspired by the "Night Time" scene.

For this I used Arista "Vintage Blue" as the main base color and acrylic paint for the rest of the nail design.

Christmas Nail Art 2013! Snowman and Candy Canes.

Seasons Greetings to all!!

Today, I am literally rediscovering what is means to be a nail art blogger. I've been M.I.A from blogging!  My life has been basically busy mainly because of school . . .which has been the major stress factor of myself! X(

For the New year, I will be trying to incorporate blogging in my new schedule, so hopefully I'll generate a little more traffic. . .

With that said . . . . I came up with a Christmas Nail art!  I did this for an early Christmas Dinner I attended.

I absolutely love this design, and I couldn't stop staring at my nails!  Actually, who ever I came across could stop asking questions. (mainly 'cause I kept flashing ;)

Here are the main characters up close and personal.  I call the snowman 'snowboy' because I rhymes Po Boy (Who doesn't love a good Po boy?)  and Cute candy canes over a glitter gradient background.

Tools Used:

1. Yesensy in the color 80 (from France)
2. Loose body glitter (bought at the beauty supply store)

I really love the radiant red color.  The polish is very thin, with about 3-4 four coats of polish my nail line is still visible.  Also, I really admire how glossy the polish looked without a topcoat.  Just beautiful and amazing.

Finding Nemo - Squirt

I went to bed a couple nights ago, and I couldn't stop thinking of this one particular cartoon/movie.   Finding Nemo! The title of this movie keep on replaying in my mind . . .after a while it got annoying, because I was really trying to take a good night rest.

Upon waking up, while on Facebook ^^  This page was being advertised.  It was "Squirt"  Immediately, I knew what my next manicure design was going to be.

I didn't want to do a normal design where every nail had a different  face or pattern painted on because I wanted to focus mainly on Squirt himself, so I opted for what I call a "Full Nail Painting."  Lol.   (This is my first try)

Squirt was just the cutest turtle ever!  His voice, his accents, and of course those wide brown eyes . . . I just fell in love with him (Not forgetting his funny dad, Crush)

I think I did a pretty "sweeet" job capturing squirt if I don't say so myself.

I used the picture below for my inspiration.

Uploaded from Google Images

I used a mixture of Ruby Kisses 'Teal envy', Ruby Kisses 'Blue My Mind' and a white nail polish for the background, and acrylic paint to paint cute lil' Squirt.

I had fun doing this design, I was doubting myself, but the end results were not that bad.

Thank you all for reading.
